Senior Staff

Captain, Ellen Deak
The Valhalla's Captain is Commander Ellen Deak. Ellen joined the ship in April of 1994. Ellen has worked at many Valhalla events and contributed articles and pictures to the Valhalla newsletter. She became a junior officer in August of 1995 when she was named Quartermaster. Ellen organized the Valhalla's March of Dimes Walk America team in 1996 and the Valhalla's American Heart Association Moonlite Bowl teams in 1997. Ellen became Captain in September of 1996. She was the Valhalla 1996 Member of the Year.

First Officer, Leann Rowe
The Valhalla's First Officer is Lt. Commander Leann Rowe. Leann joined the Valhalla in April of 1994. She has worked at numerous Star Trek conventions and Valhalla events. She has also contributed articles and original poetry to the Valhalla newsletter. She became a junior officer in the Spring of 1995 when she was named Transporter Chief. Leann then moved on to the First Officer position in September of 1996. Leann was the Valhalla Member of the Year for 1995 and the Operations Department Member of the Year in 1996.

Chief Engineer, Rodney Wood
The current Chief Engineer of the Valhalla is Lieutentant Rodney Wood. Rod joined the Valhalla in June of 1994 and immediately jumped in to help successfully complete the Valhalla's first parade float. Shortly after completion of that project, Rod was named the Valhalla's first Chief Engineer. Rod has been instrumental in the design and completion of all of the Valhalla's award winning floats.
The Valhalla's Chief Medical Officer is Lt. Commander Carolyn Strutner. Carolyn joined the ship in January of 1994. It is hard to find an event that Carolyn has not helped with and/or participated in. She became Chief Medical Officer in September of 1996. She is currently a member of the Valhalla's new Costume Committee and busy helping make costumes for other Valhalla members. Carolyn was named Medical Department Member of the Year in 1995 and 1996.

Chief Science Officer, Chris Johnson
The Valhalla's Chief Science Officer is Lt. Commander Chris Johnson. Chris joined the Valhalla in April of 1994. She has worked at conventions, helped with the parade floats and contributed numerous photographs to the Valhalla newsletter. Chris has also participated on the Valhalla Walk America and Moonlite Bowl teams. She was Assistant Science Officer before becoming Chief Science Officer in September of 1997. Chris was the Science Department Member of the Year in 1996.

Chief of Operations, Ben Dillon
The Valhalla's current Chief of Ship Operations is Lieutenant Ben Dillon. Ben joined the Valhalla in April of 1995. He has worked on the last two parade floats and helped to put together some of the Valhalla's most fun entertainments for our meetings. Ben became Ops officer in September of 1996. Ben was also the Science Department Member of the Year in 1995.
Junior Staff
Lt. J.G. Dawn Kemble is the Valhalla's Security Chief. The Security Chief acts as the Chief Engineer's assistant. Dawn joined the Valhalla in April of 1995. She headed up the team that built the model of the original U.S.S. Enterprise for the 1996 parade float. Dawn was the Engineering Department Member of the Year in 1996 and became Security Chief in February of 1997.
Lt. J.G. Karon Cason is the Valhalla's Chief of Stellar Cartography. The Chief of Stellar Cartography acts as the Chief Science Officer's assistant. Karon joined the Valhalla in September of 1995. Karon is a member of the Valhalla's new Costume Committee and has wowed everyone with her Cardassian costume and makeup.
